Support Us

After The Disaster, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt charitable organization. Contributions are deductible to the full extent allowed by law. In addition to cash, checks, donations through our PayPal account (the "Donate" button at the bottom of each page), and dropping off Kit items at our collection sites, here are two more no-hassle ways that you can support the efforts of After The Disaster.

ATD has no employees and no salaries, rent, or utilities to pay, so all of your contributions go directly to providing relief for disaster victims. All members of the Board of Directors are volunteers who provide their services with no compensation of any kind except the satisfaction of a job well done.

Experiencing a house fire, flood, or other disaster can be devastating to individuals and families. Most victims are “shell shocked” by what has happened and feel hopeless to see all their belongings gone. Receiving “necessities” can bring a little bit of stability into an otherwise chaotic situation. We collect personal relief items to be given to local fire departments to hand out so single and multi-member families at the scene of the disaster.

Please consider helping families by purchasing some of the items listed below:

  • Body Wash (3 in 1 — body wash/shampoo/conditioner, if possible; no larger than 18 fluid ounces)

  • Hair Brush / Comb

  • Nail Clipper Kits

  • Roll-on or stick deodorant (no aerosol cans, please)

  • Disposable Razors / Shaving Cream (6 oz. can)

  • Feminine Hygiene Products (pads only, please)

  • Hand Sanitizer (travel size)

  • Wash Cloths / Hand Towels

  • Kid's Body Wash (3 in 1, if possible — 12 oz.)

  • Kid's Toothbrush & Toothpaste (3.5 oz.)

  • Adult Toothbrush & Toothpaste (4.6 oz.)

  • Ponytail holders / Barrettes

  • Shampoo / Conditioner (2 in 1, if possible — no larger than 18 ounces)

  • Bar Soap

  • Tissues (Travel Size)

  • Toys for Boys / Girls (SMALL stuffed animals are great for either)

  • Gift cards from local restaurants (buffets would be great for multi-member families)

After The Disaster will collect these items and package them in gallon zip-lock bags for distribution; individual bags are assembled for men, women, boys, and girls. The packaged bags are then placed in large totes and delivered to local fire departments for distribution to disaster victims. Drop off items here.
